Dog Policy

We look forward to providing a memorable stay for you and your pet

A fee of £20 per dog per night is charged for your pet to stay. 

To ensure the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, the following policies apply to your pet’s stay.

Pet Cleaning Fee

Please be aware that a non-refundable pet cleaning fee of £40.00 per stay will be charged to your account prior to check-out to cover the cost of additional and necessary cleaning in preparation for our next guest. If room fumigation is required due to pest infestation an additional fee over and above the cleaning fee will apply.

Acceptable Pets

We welcome all well mannered, dogs, cats, birds, and fish. Pets must weigh less than 80 pounds. We reserve the right to require immediate removal of any pet that displays dangerous or unacceptable behavior, including, but not limited to, biting, excessive noise (such as barking), evidence of disease, or urination / defecation in public areas. No more than two (2) pets may occupy a guestroom. Each guest is responsible for all charges that relate to the removal of his / her pet, including but not limited to transportation and kennel charges.

Pet-Friendly Areas

Pets are allowed only in the following areas lobby area. Pets are not allowed in public areas where F&B is served or consumed. For your convenience, a large field located at the back of the Hotel is ideal for a four legged stroll. Please dispose of pet waste appropriately.

Pet Control / Containment in Public Areas

Pets must be leashed, caged, or firmly held when they are in all common areas of the hotel, including the Pet Walk.

Pet in Room Sign

Please place the Pet in Room sign on the outside of your door whenever your pet is in your room. Pets are not permitted to be left any areas of the Hotel, including your bedroom unattended.


For the safety and comfort of your pet, Housekeeping will enter your room only if: (a) your pet is not present, or (b) you are present and can monitor your pet (dog’s must be on a leash), or (c) your pet is caged.

Damage to Guest Rooms and Common Areas

Your hotel account will be charged for the repair or replacement cost for any damage caused by your pet.

We welcome dogs at The Cheltenham Chase, although we do ask that they are well-behaved throughout your stay. Owners are asked to control any noise made by their dog to ensure it does not disturb other guests.
